There were only 54 1967 Yenko 427 Camaros built. Of those 54,
approximately 10 still survive today.
This 1967 Yenko is back in Kevin's collection after an impeccable
frame-off restoration by Dave Tinnell in Edmonton, Kentucky.
The sales invoice on this car shows it sold new through Jay Kline
Chevrolet in Minneapolis Mn. Jay Kline Chevrolet was one of Yenko's
various affiliated dealerships to sell cars from Yenko.
Besides being an RS/SS Camaro with a 427, this car was loaded
with options. Per the invoice it came with Muncie close ratio
4-speed, dual exhaust headers, 3.73 posi, special HD clutch, custom
designed HD suspension and extra capacity cooling, temperature
controlled fan, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, gauge package,
center console, wood grain steering wheel, special interior package,
metallic brakes, disc brakes-front, 15" steel rally wheels,
wide oval tires, transistorized ignition, heat resistant plug wires,
NHRA-approved scattershield, and Traction master traction bars.
Whew! I think the original owner meant to do some business with this
car when he ordered it.
